What is metadata?
Metadata is hidden information embedded in a digital file, such as:
- Camera/device name
- GPS location
- Capture date
- Editor information (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)
- Personal notes or software history
- Title
- Description
- Keywords

What does Clean Metadata do?
With one click, Clean Metadata will:
- Remove technical and EXIF metadata from image files (JPG, PNG, etc.)
- Remove video metadata such as codec info, software tags, creation time, etc.
- Not change the visual quality or contents of your files
How to use Clean Metadata
- Open Free Tools → Clean Metadata
- Select the folder or files you want to clean
- Optionally set how many workers/CPU to use for processing
- Click Start Cleaning to begin
